This page lists the cookies and similar technologies we use on matchr.io, what each one does, and how you can control them. For broader privacy information, see our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as language or login state) over time, and let us measure how the site is used.
We use both first-party cookies (set by matchr.io) and third-party cookies (set by services we use, such as Google Analytics). Some cookies last only for the duration of your visit (session cookies); others persist between visits (persistent cookies).
Categories of cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the site to function. They cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as filling in a form or setting your cookie preferences.
We use strictly necessary cookies to:
- Remember your cookie consent choices.
- Keep our session and security infrastructure working.
- Route form submissions to our processors.
These cookies do not store any directly identifying information.
2. Analytics cookies
These help us understand how visitors interact with the site by collecting and reporting information anonymously. We use this to improve the site’s content and structure.
- Google Analytics 4: measures page visits, sessions, traffic sources, and basic event interactions. Cookie names include
_gaand_ga_*. Data is transferred to the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
You can opt out by declining analytics cookies in our banner or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3. Marketing and advertising cookies
These are set through our site by advertising partners. They build a profile of your interests and show you relevant ads on other sites.
- Google Ads conversion tracking: measures the effectiveness of our paid search campaigns.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag: measures the effectiveness of our LinkedIn ad campaigns and lets us retarget visitors with relevant content.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel: measures and retargets visitors on Meta platforms.
These cookies are only set after you accept marketing cookies in our banner. Data is transferred to the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
4. Functional and preference cookies
These remember choices you make (like the language you prefer) to give you a more personalised experience. We don’t currently set functional cookies beyond what’s covered in strictly necessary.
How to control cookies
You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly. See your browser’s help pages:
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
